What we'll doJoin us & learn about identifying, protecting, and planting native trees of Ohio.
Who can do itAll Ages Welcome! (16 & under must be accompanied by an adult)

Start the day with a brief lesson about the native trees we have in our area and how we can protect them. We will then be going on a tree identification hike along multiple areas of our 122 acre non-profit farm along with placing identification signs on trees in the process. After the hike, the Taking Root ‘Trees Make a Difference Team’ will lead a brief lecture on why trees are important and demonstrate tree planting on designated areas of the farm.

*Please wear clothing appropriate for hiking and getting a little dirty. Gorman Heritage Farm shares a driveway with the Dan Beard Council Scout Center, go past this building through gates to Farm parking lot. Enter our Interpretative Center for the class.
