Cook a meal for the 30 women and children in our shelter, and drop off the meal around 3PM on any day of the week! Great way to help from the comfort of your home and engage children in a good cause.

From open mic nights to Ride for Reading, WordPlay hosts several community events throughout the year. And the more people we have around to help, the better! Duties may include setting up/cleaning up; distributing flyers; greeting attendees and showing them where to go; serving food and drinks; and taking photos.
Prom is our alternative to high school proms that can be less than comfortable for LGBTQ students.
As mentors, we help ensure that every school in the Greater Cincinnati area has a GSA that is thriving by connecting them with essential resources, and encouraging youth leadership development. This volunteer position requires less than 5 hours per month.
GLSEN Greater Cincinnati supports GSAs by working with students and administrators to ensure everyone knows their rights and responsibilities, providing training for youth GSA leaders and their adult advisers, and providing materials and support for GLSEN’s “Days of Action” including the Day of Silence and No Name-Calling Week.
GLSEN Greater Cincinnati offers trainings for teachers and administrators on how to recognize and address bullying and anti-gay bias in the classroom.
Volunteer with around 80 – 100 youth every Saturday. Assist with activities like basketball, workout exercises, youth reading room, yoga, jump rope and art.
