The program serves girls ages 2-18 at 15 sites across Greater Cincinnati. Our dancers are from low-income families and sometimes referred from homeless shelters. Female volunteers with or without any ballet experience or knowledge are needed. That includes dance instructors, as well as volunteers to work with the girls, and help with performances.
Tutoring has the power to boost children’s academic scores, create strong readers and improve confidence. But our volunteers become so much more than tutors. They become mentors, friends and positive role models that change the lives of children beyond the classroom.
