You are warmly invited to join us for our monthly community conversation where we explore challenges facing the current system and community-driven efforts to effect positive change. Please bring your best thinking to the table and help us elevate the needs and rights of very vulnerable kids.

IKP provides one-hour group presentations to high school and college students who are interested in learning more the child welfare system and how we can work together to improve the challenges facing abused and neglected children. Special emphasis is placed on the power of healthy relationships, empathy and community.

Help groom, train, feed, lead, side walk and maintain our horses.

Help support our team with filing, mailings, school attendance, and general record keeping.

Mentor a child and support our residents by continuing to develop appropriate relationships with adults, and keeping the youth connected to the community to which they will return.

Organize a winter hat and glove drive with your school, church, family & friends.

Cook, serve & clean in our kitchen. Power wash dishes when dinner is over. Assistance piking up Panera bread donations may be needed as well.

Volunteers help make bag lunches throughout the week to give out to the homeless and day laborers that come through our facility.

SFSM serves Breakfast (7-9am) & Dinner (4-6pm) Monday through Friday. Volunteers help greet guests, serve, clean tables & possibly dishes, as well as, create a safe haven for guests to come & have a nutritious meal.

Volunteers will help assist the students and Chef Instructor with set up, clean up, and cooking during the cooking classes. A meal is provided at the end of each class for volunteers as well.
