We have many other roles to be filled by individuals and groups of all sizes: furniture pickup for our Flea Market, general maintenance for buildings and grounds, general housekeeping for floors and gymnasium, painting, and more! We have the necessary equipment and tools to complete these jobs. All we need are willing volunteers.
The Adopt a Park program is where a company, group of individuals, or other organizations agree to clean up a park six or more times a year. Groups who adopt a park will get signage placed at the park that they have adopted and will have access to safety vests, trash bags, and gloves.
Feed the hungry by picking up food donations, preparing meal at Parish Kitchen or dessert at home, organizing a milk or food drive, or serving in the dining room.
Spread the good news and make 2018 your year to volunteer.
Assist at special events in a variety of ways. Spend the day with us at our annual Holly Hill Golf Classic, assist with wrapping gifts for the holidays, or serving Thanksgiving dinner to over 200 members of the community.
“Foster Parents” are needed for: nursing moms; dogs too young, sick, confused, or frightened to be adopted yet; long-time residents of the shelter.
Collecting donated items (heartworm medicine and flea medicine, especially, as well as crates, toys food, and other medicine).
Volunteering
Help with the annual Tour De Cure event.
Relay volunteers help with registration, logistics, participant support, and other unique opportunities. You can also be a Relay For Life team member or team leader and volunteer your time toward participating in the event and fundraising.
