Earn your community-service hours by helping in the Teacher Free Store (working check-out, loading cars or re-stocking shelves) and assisting with various projects in the warehouse. Your help is much appreciated and is an integral component to the success of Crayons to Computers!

Host a supply drive for Crayons to Computers at your school, business, civic group or place of worship. The top 7 items we need most are crayons, dry erase markers, filler paper, glue sticks, notebooks, pencils and pocket folders. All basic school supplies are welcome and appreciated.

An annual program in which we encourage participants to knit, crochet, or collect yarn in an effort to provide hats, gloves, and scarves to students in need! Can be done at your location.

Sort incoming donated items. All clothing must be put in our clothes dryer prior to being put away in Miranda’s Closet.

Serve on a Committee to help with one (or more) of our fundraising events. Do you enjoy planning a fun party? Would you be willing to help work at one of our annual events? Then we need you!

Serve as a Client Advocate and work one-on-one with clients.

Hold an educational event about LAM and The LAM Foundation in your home, school, church or other social outlet.

We can use your help in producing and distributing news releases, creating posters and flyers, and developing positive relationships with the media in your community.

Make calls, write letters and send e-mails to your legislators when there are critical issues that affect healthcare, research and rare diseases. Your voice makes a difference.

Fundraising and development opportunities include organizing special events, organizing quick fundraisers, joining The Foundation’s online fundraising efforts, soliciting major gifts, and recruiting other volunteers.
