One of the most-recognized symbols of The Salvation Army is the bell ringer with a red kettle standing in front of a grocery store or shopping mall. The Love Your Neighbor Campaign is The Salvation Army’s largest fundraiser, contributing hundreds of thousands of dollars to programs helping people in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
There are nearly 100 convenient locations throughout Greater Cincinnati, Butler County, Clermont County and Northern Kentucky. Available hours are 10 am to 8 pm, Monday – Saturday. Each shift is a minimum of 2 hours.
Groups of volunteers can ‘adopt’ a kettle location for a day (or longer) by organizing a group of friends, family or co-workers to ring the bell. Volunteers must be 18+ to volunteer on their own, or 16+ if accompanied by an adult.
Red kettle volunteers are welcome to be creative and have fun: sing, play an instrument, or share a special talent — those are all popular ways to make it fun, and increase donations too!
