Our Mats for the homeless events are back for the season! Kick off the Winter 2018 season with us!

Recycle your used grocery bags into sleeping mats to be donated to the homeless! We aren’t donating these mats to a shelter, they are going to homeless people on the streets that are in desperate need of a little help, and some love!

Come on down to Funky Sunshine, and help us assemble these sleeping mats! This is a kid-friendly event- there’s a lot of work that goes into making a single mat, and there’s plenty for kids and people who don’t know how to crochet to help with.
There is usually always someone at this event that is willing to teach people how to crochet as well! It takes 500-1,000 bags to make a single mat. Even if you can’t help please spread the word, and donate your plastic bags!
