Adopt-a-Spot and help the women beautify their space with gardening. Also mentor and assist with GED tutoring.
Sort our clothing and furniture donations, so that we can stay organized.
Help write resumes and help prepare residents for job interviews.
Be a trusted friend and guide to youth by developing a supportive relationship with them. Help ensure that the mentee develops important academic and life skills.
Help with administrative tasks.
Assist in our events (picnics, fundraisers, etc)
Work to keep our community gardens watered and free of weeds.
Lend a helping hand in our Community Market (food pantry)
Our office volunteers help in the Safe Pastures office one morning or afternoon a week. Some of the duties include answering phones, giving tours, helping with mailings, and pitching in as needed with special projects around the house.
Our teachers for life skills classes and speakers for mentor trainings provide much-needed input for those involved in the Safe Pastures program. These trainings are scheduled on various weeknights dependent upon the academic schedules of the women involved.
